Holt - The Bodyguard by cwalton73 Holt - The Bodyguard by cwalton73
One of the latest concepts for Forces of Warmachine - Pirates of the Broken Coast.

Holt is the taciturn bodyguard of Lady Aiyana. A walking bullet factory – few cross the pair and live to tell the tale.
The sculpts can be seen here

They were sculpted by the incredible Werner Klocke and painted by Quentin Smith. Little fanboi note: The name Holt was campaigned for by heavily by PPS_Adam...its the same name he uses for his IKRPG gunmage character. In the end, he got the name AND the concept art!

This is a really nice design, and overall your style is very pleasant to the eye. In particular, Steampunk TF2 medic anyone? =D

Any hobby game store that carries Privateer Press/ Warmachine miniatures is where you can get this model. He comes as a pair with Lady Aiyana.

Much more Roland-esque then your standard gunmage or pistolier. I like it a lot.

I'm digging the carvings on his holsters as well as all the bullets strapped to his body.

I love the attention to detail you put into this one, it's amazing and he really does look like a bodyguard for someone of respectable position. I also like the 5 o'clock shadow you gave him, by the way, is that a normal, reinforced, or armored greatcoat?

Again, very awesome. Question: How much time do they give you to develop a concept for a new model, ad how much detail do they give you to complete the project?

It really depends...It seems like never enough time *sigh*...As for details, that depends too, it really boils down to if Matt and the development team have really clear ideas on what they want to see. Holt was pretty easy - since the elf girl was very refined, we wanted a gunslinger who looked like he could attend a dinner party (and kill all the guests) and he fell into place pretty easily.
