After Kromac, Matt gave me the oppurtunity to do another Warlock - this one for the Skorne faction. The Skorne are a twisted race who value survial of the fittest and this happy fella is no exception. Aptimus Zaal is the highest ranking extoller in the Skorne empire. Extollers practice a form of ancestor worship where they trap the souls of past great Skorne heroes and then use them to animate statue warriors.

I patterned Zaal's look off of Kabuki costumes.

Great work! As a Skorne player, I'm grateful. I wish PP had sculpted his hand upraised, the way you drew him; it's a little thing, but IMHO, it makes Zaal look stronger.

Again very cool! First Circle, now Skorne! Are you going to get to create one for the Trollbloods and Everblight factions as well? And What about Warmachine? Your concepts are killer man, and I look forward to seeing more.

I love the details on the robe. The figure is also a pretty accurate translation of your drawing. Your stuff just keeps getting better and better since your new job.

Once again, great detail. I'm very impressed with how close the sculptor can get to the original artwork, too, down to pretty much the last tassel and fold in the cloak.
